Melanie & Rhys Wedding - 13 August 2011

First it was the engagement, now the BIG day!

Leading up to this day, Mel & Rhys were nervous about the wet weather plan and like most couples I'm sure they had her fingers crossed hoping for fine weather...well it certainly payed off and they sure were blessed with a gorgeous day!

First stop was the Sebel Hotel where the boys were staying...

The cold refreshments were flowing...trying to ease the nerves perhaps??

Nerves? What nerves?

We then headed over the bridal suite at the Reef Sofitel Casino where the girls were busily getting ready...

Simply Stunning...

The Ceremony was over at the Cairns Botanical Gardens so this was the next stop...

We then headed off around Cairns and Stratford for some fun with the Bridal Party....

Melanie & Rhys Engagement Shoot - 26 June 2011

Melanie & Rhys had asked me to photograph their wedding in August this year....and they also chose to catch up for an engagement shoot prior to their big day. Some couples choose to book an engagement shoot for many reasons...Mel & Rhys chose to use an image that we took on the day as part of a gift to their guests at their wedding.

We headed down to Paronella Park, just past Innisfail....I had never been there before but I must say, what a great location for some beautiful photos.

From only having met Mel & Rhys a couple of times, it was obvious to me how in love they both were...and how much fun they have together. So it only seems natural for Rhys to get down on one knee and pop the question.....Will you be my wife?Obviously the answer was YES! All the best for the big day guys, I know it will be just amazing!

Bonnie & Nathan - 25 June 2011

I first met Bonnie when I took photos of her gorgeous son Baide mid last year and soon after she asked me to photograph her's and Nathan's wedding....so naturally I said yes!

Then their special day finally arrived...my assistant Lauren and I headed off to Edmonton to get some shots of the boys first up, and I must say we were impressed to se how organised they all were when we arrived...and running on such little sleep too boys, well done!

I think these boys are in the mood for some fun!!
Once we had left the boys we headed into town to Hotel Cairns were we met up with the gorgeous bride and all her beautiful bridesmaids....once again the girls were organised and calm and ready to get this show on the road...
of course the girls had to squeeze in some time to indulge in some bubbles...celebration time!

Now with the formalities over, everyone was ready to have some fun on location shots...first we headed down to this very groovy little graffiti alley...then around Cairns esplanade for some other shots.

We then headed back to Hotel Cairns where we managed to snap a few shots of the newlyweds with their pride and joy....their adorable son Baide....
Bonnie & Nate, your love for each other is obvious and you reminded me why I love doing what I do...photographing weddings is such a special job and a HUGE thanks to you both for choosing me to photograph your wedding...we had such fun with you and your bridal party and we hope you both have a great honeymoon!
